Act4 scene 7 , 8 pages long in this graphic novel adaption ,

very powerful elements in this act King Claudius and Laertes plot Hamlets death via a duel with a poisoned sword tip and Queen Gertrude and Laertes discover Ophelia has drowned.

notice on page 144 the main characters are in heavy shadow as they talk of the plot to kill Hamlet this was drawn to highlight their evil desire to the reader.

act 4 SCENE 6 LAYOUT ROUGHS

Act 4 scene 6 is 2 pages in the graphic novel .
Horatio get's word that Pirates have captured Hamlet,
Hamlet bargins with the Pirates and they set him free Horatio arranges to meet Hamlet.

page 136 last panel is a large wide shot panel ,notice i made Hamlet a full figure in the center of the panel swinging in dynamic fashion with his sword ready for action against the Pirates, i also have Horatio's head in the corner of the panel half in shadow to add to the drama
these devices are oftern used in comics to draw the reader in having the hero in the center of the action

page 137 last panel i tilted the angle of the floor and drew the view from the ground looking up to add more dynamic to the page , remember when drawing comic strip art it is the job of the artist to made the pages look as exciting and interesting as possible.

ACT 4 SCENE 4 LAYOUT ROUGHS

Act 4 scene 4 has Hamlet meeting the Captain of the Norway Army headed by Prince Fortinbras .
This scene is only 3 pages long the first panel of page 122 was going to be a hard one for the penciler to draw as it's the cinematic wide shot EPIC shot , i must say David Lorenzo did a grand job on this pages finished pencils you can see this page on Davids blog .

ACT 4 SCENE 3 LAYOUT ROUGHS

So here's Act 4 Scene 3 in the graphic novel this is just four pages long , Hamlet is summoned before Claudius, Hamlet manages to wind up Claudius and Claudius starts to make plans on Hamlet's death i used alot of wide screen panels on these pages to give a cinematic feel to the pace of the play, notice on page 121 i drew alot of close up's of Hamlet and Claudius to show off their expressions just as a camera man /director would in a movie.
